It’s like this…….It takes energy to make the car move. If it requires more electrical energy to make air to move this car then it would if you used gasoline? Then why not use gasoline!
This car is going nowhere!

The principal disadvantage is the indirect use of energy. Energy is used to compress air, which – in turn – provides the energy to run the motor. Any conversion of energy between forms results in loss. For conventional combustion motor cars, the energy is lost when chemical energy in fossil fuels is converted to heat energy, most of which goes to waste. For compressed-air cars, energy is lost when chemical energy is converted to electrical energy, and then when electrical energy is converted to compressed air.

The reason they all seem to end up on the manure pile is the pressure applied by the oil companies (and governments) around the world who stand to lose a fortune when a viable alternative to the infernal combustion engine arrives. Let’s hope Tata are big enough to withstand the flac that will come their way.
